who Are the Storytellers Behind These Stories?
If you have made it this far, you may be wondering who is behind these stories. We are Chef Mili (Milinda Premarathne) and Chathu G. (Chathuranga Gamage), two people whose lives have always revolved around food and storytelling.
Over the last 17 years, we have been fortunate enough to create some remarkable things. We founded Sri Lanka's first culinary magazine, Rasavimana, which became the country's best-selling food magazine, and later created the internationally loved YouTube channel "Traditional Me", which today is followed by more than two million people around the world. Through our recipes, stories, and videos, millions of viewers have welcomed us into their homes.

Our journey with food has gone far beyond cooking. We have worked with well-known brands such as Knorr, Sunquick, Nutella and MeadowLea, sharing our culinary expertise through Chef Mili's work as a professional chef and culinary editor, and through Chathu G.'s experience as a professional food photographer. Together, we have helped shape products enjoyed by many. Yet despite everything we achieved, we always felt there was another dream waiting quietly in the background.

We have always loved stories where food is more than something served on a plate. Whether watching Dae Jang Geum, Midnight Diner, or countless other films and series, we often found ourselves talking less about the characters and more about the food, the memories, the emotions, and the lives hidden behind every meal.
​
For many years, we dreamed of creating stories like those ourselves. A television production was beyond our reach, but one day we asked a simple question:

Why can't food be at the heart of a story?
​
So we began writing.
​
We wrote stories and shared them with each other. We laughed, became hungry, felt nostalgic, and sometimes found ourselves surprisingly emotional. The more we wrote, the more convinced we became that there must be other people like us—people who see food as more than nourishment, people who find memories, comfort, mystery, adventure, and even magic in it.

That decision eventually became Untold Food Stories.
​
Everything you see here was built with care, curiosity, and countless hours of work. We hope these stories find a place in your heart as they did in ours.
